Chicago Chicken City, a halal local fast food chain, began its journey in Kuantan and rapidly expanded to 12 outlets across Malaysia. Specialising in large-sized fried chicken, burgers, and refillable drinks. Our journey with Chicago Chicken City started with branding work but soon evolved into a deeper, more strategic partnership as their marketing consultants.
The business faced significant challenges early on, leading to the closure of several outlets prior to our engagement. Understanding the essence of their struggle, we took a comprehensive approach to revive and grow the business. Our first step was to overhaul their visual content. We reshot their food photography, creating more appealing and engaging images that captured the attention of their audience. Recognising the importance of a strong online presence, we rebuilt their website, focusing on a user-friendly interface and a visually attractive design. This transformation resulted in increased online traffic and better customer engagement.
A critical aspect of our strategy was re-engineering their menu to better align with customer preferences. This move not only enhanced the dining experience but also drove higher sales and customer satisfaction. However, the most significant shift came in their marketing strategy. Initially, their approach was too broad and unfocused. We proposed a pivot to hyper-focus on the Muslim community, changing all language to Bahasa. This targeted strategy led to consistent month-to-month business growth, ultimately doubling their monthly sales.
